Upgrade my Video Card (Radeon X1600) PCI or AGP?

I need to upgrade my Video card it's (Radeon™ X1600 Series) P/N 5188-3593,

I need to know what I have to look for? PCI or AGP ? is it 512 faster than 256? or there is other factor?|||yes the card is Interface Type PCI Express x16

157 million transistors on 90nm fabrication process

Dual-link DVI

Twelve pixel shader processors

Five vertex shader processors

128-bit 4-channel DDR/DDR2/GDDR3 memory interface

Native PCI Express x16 bus interface

AGP 8x configurations also supported with AGP-PCI-E external bridge chip Dynamic Voltage Control

well would really help to know what sort of budget you have, and what motherboard you have, and power supply since you cant install a eg a nvidia GTX 295 with a small power supply (thats a top of the range card)

http://www.pricewatch.com/video_cards/ you could take a look here, and yes 512mb is a lot bigger/faster than 256mb|||If this is for desktop go for ati hd 4850.

it has a reasonable price and provides very good graphics for it's price

(PCI-E slot required)

OR nvidia g force 9500gt. preformes well but not as good as 4850. but cheaper(PCI-E)
