Computer People please help. How do you tell if a graphic/video card is a good one for Windows vista?

I have a sapphire 100215l Radeon HD 2600xt 512 MB 128 bit GDDRJ PCI express x 16 HDCP ready cross fire supported video card retail.

Is this good enough? This is for a school project its worth 25% of my grade. If not can you give me an idea on how to find a better one?

thank you|||Will vista run on this card then yes. You want a video card that is DX10 capable. This card you listed is fine for vista.

You also have to look at what else you do with your comp. Do you game alot or just mainly surf the web? If you do game what kind of games?

That card you listed is more or less a entry lvl video card that has the new DX10 capability. Its not ment for power in games and such, as I said it will run with vista just fine though|||That's a powerful video card you have there.

I think it will work out great!|||I have a slightly less powerful ATI card than that and it works just fine, even with the Aero features.|||http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as… this is a good hd2600xt that is a good video card just this one is better plus a hd2900pro is better than that for $150 oh yeah pricewatch.com but newegg.com has reviews and great choices|||on way to know for sure is use passmark performance test You can download trial version
