HD 5870 PCI 2.1 video card?

will a PCI 2.1 video card (http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/ati-radeon-hd-5000/hd-5870/Pages/ati-radeon-hd-5870-specifications.aspx) work on a PCI 2.0 slot on my dell XPS 8000?|||It isnt' PCI 2.1....it's PCI-E 2.1. That being said, YES....you can ABSOLUTELY run this card in a PCI-e 2.0 X16 slot of your current system.

Without being too technical, PCI-E 2.1 is a specification that allows additional managment and troubleshooting functions of the upcoming PCI-E 3.0 spec, but run at the 2.0 link speed.

You could even run it on a PCI-E 1.0 x16 slot. All this architecture is backwards compatible. It would just run at a slower speed.|||Nope. See the .1 after the 2.|||Yes. but you would get the full advantage of 0:02 %
