Need good video card 4 compaq presario sr5302fh. most pci-e cards i saw were rated above 250watt power supply?

PCI express 1.0 x16 is the card type im looking for. looked at GEFORCE 8500 GT 512MB & Sapphire ATI Radeon HD3450 512MB DDR2 but watted for 350 or 400.|||your not going to find too much except maybe older stuff. i suggest getting a cheap power supply since you already have a cheap one. most people will lecture and say "oh cheap power supply's fail all the time and take your system with it." but really getting a 580 watt echostar wont be any different from what you have now in quality except you can run whatever card you want. google that psu its the one i use on my hp a6030n. i upgraded my psu to run my 8800gt oc2. runs just fine no problems ever.|||first off, you have no business buying a video card.....yet.

Even if you got a video card, it can only perform as well as your COU allows and according to the COMPAQ website, you have a 1.8 Intel Celeron processor.

Hop on over to www.newegg.com or www.tigerdirect.com (i prefer newegg) and start from scratch. Might wanna find someone who can help you cause if you dont know what you're doing, you could waste alot of money.

you need a

Computer Case - you'll want AT LEAST a Mid ATX tower.

Power Supply - AT LEAST a 500 watt power supply.

Processor - choose at least a dual core AMD or Intel processor. Intels are more expensive but a little bit better quality. I use AMD cause its cheaper.

Motherboard - You'll want something that supports at least a dual core processor, 2-4 Sata ports, 800mhz RAM, and a PCI-e slot.

RAM - at least 2 gigs of ram at 800mhz.

Video Card - Get an 8800GTS or something similar. its not that much more and it performs ALOT better.

DVD drive - anything sata really.

Hard Drive - also, anything Sata.

MAKE SURE YOU PURCHASE A PROCESSOR ALONG WITH A FAN AND HEATSINK!

Failure to do so may void your warranty as i found out the hard way.

Good luck. Remember, Google is your friend.|||Don't even bother upgrading that T**D. It's not worth it.
