I have a computer with a PCI 2.0 x16 video card slot. Does PCI 2.1 work too?

I am planning to get a new video card, mine is pretty much shot. Planning on getting a:

Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity

Will it work in a MOBO with PCI 2.0x16? or do i need to get a new MOBO?|||You're fine! All versions of PCI-E x16 are backawards compatible, so it even works fine on a motherboard with a 1.1 slot.

There's no speed difference between PCI-E x16 version 2.1 and 2.0 anyway... Version 2.1 just added some diagnostic and management features that won't be fully implemented until version 3.0 anyway.|||Yes...the 2.1 is backwards compatible with 2.0 or even 1.1 slots. you can use it...just make sure you have enough of a PSU to run it.
