i have a computer that has 2.6GHz, 6MB L2 Cache Quad-Core Processor and Systemboard with 1 - PCI-E x16, 0 - PCI-E x1, 1 - PCI Available Expansion Slots. and i would like to know if it supports the Radeon HD 5970 video card with 2 GB - GDDR5 SDRAM ?|||As far as you indicate, yes, it will support it. However, what is the power supply rating? How many watts? What's the size of your case? Is it well-ventilated? There are a good half-dozen questions you must ask yourself before even thinking of purchasing the $700 HD 5970.|||If your playin at 1080p get a 5850 or 5870 save your money for 6xxx series cards.
