Dell inspiron 580 desktop upgrading video card?

hello, does anyone know if the XFX HD-585X-ZAFC Radeon HD 5850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity will fit in a dell inspiron 580? The reviews of the card say it can barely fit in some cases. Also, to open the case, do I need to unscrew some screws? thank you,|||I have a Dell 580 also and the only card that will work is the GeForce GT220 Graphics Card. Not decent card, but not good for any current games. I dont do much gaming on mine, but I do a lot of video editing. The problem is the Dell 580 has a 300 watt power supply. Most of the decent cards require 400+ watts. The Dell 580 is not a gaming mahine.|||That card has a 500 watt minimum power supply requirement.

The Dell Inspiron 580 desktop has a 300 watt power supply. So never mind it fitting, your computer doesn't have enough juice to power that card to begin with.|||No offense mate, but if you are unsure how to even open your computers case, then you should not attempt to replace its graphics card. Either get someone with more experience to do it for you, or don't do it at all.

But to answer your question, since we can't see inside your computers case, we cannot really tell you if the card will fit or not. You'll have to take some measurements yourself, and compare them with the size of the card.
